New pouch!

Got this vintage leather pouch for 10 USD - only let-down was it's colour...dark green! I need to figure out a good way to dye it black.

First blood

And so the saga begins... I've been waiting for some lexan scissors hoping they would make cutting out the armour parts easier - boy was I right!! This has to be the best tip for any armour n00b. It makes cutting out the parts SO much easier.

The box has arrived!

Now, where to start? I think getting a good pair of lexan scissors is a good beginning.

Sculpting the taper

I wasn't able to find anything with the correct taper, so I ended up with a section from a plastic cup that left a gap of about 5mm. So basically the whole taper is a 5mm thick layer of bondo sanded to the correct shape - I might get a job at Coddington hot rods!! Hahaha :D

Blaster progress

So far so good! Pandatroopers build is very easy to follow - you need some tools though... like a band saw, hehe. The only wood I found thin enough for the stock and the magasine tray was oak - yikes. I'm in for some heavy sanding. Styrene prices are rediculous here in No(r)way (10 usd/sheet) so I have ordered it online (evilbay). Hopefully it will get here soon! And yes - I need to sand those tray details waay down. Combined they are about 10mm too thick atm.
